Corporate Comedy Ideas To Generate Laughter At Your Functions …
According to studies, corporate comedy reduces stress levels amongst the workforce. When people laugh, they relax and share a common experience in a memorable way. Can you remember the last time you laughed really hard? It may have been a while. Isn’t it time you bring more laughter into your corporate life?
Business comedians have a way of transforming mundane office tasks and practices into hilarity. From the generic “every office” set ups to full customization, your employees will never see things the same way again. Does your office have a confusing phone system that sends calls to the wrong department? A corporate comedian can have a field day with that type of problem. The next time your staff has a phone issue, you can bet they will remember those jokes and start to laugh.
Is there someone in your office always taking off to golf? Or go on a trip? Or can never be located around the office? A good corporate comedian can tease around the subject without offending. This shared moment can generate some huge laughs and ease the pain the next time you can’t find Jim, the guy who can’t be found.
Corporate comedian ventriloquist Tom Crowl specializes in finding the funny around your office. He works with you to create personalized presentations that will have co-workers laughing so hard they cry. When you want your audience to say “I haven’t laughed that hard in years!”, talk to Tom.
Corporate comedy gigs can be fun for everyone, comedian, event planner and audience. Contact our office to discuss how laughter can elevate your next event.

Can you spare a minute?
Time management isn’t easy. Things suck up your time and limit your productivity.
- Answer an email.
- Respond to a phone call.
- Reply on FaceBook.
- Put out a fire.
- Can you tell me…
- Can you find…
Next thing you know, it is quitting time.
Everyone has their own agenda. When they reach out to you, they try to change yours.
Without efficient use of your time, you have trouble:
- Achieving goals
- Delivering for clients
- Earning a living.
- Becoming successful
So how can you manage your time more effectively?
Follow these five simple
productivity tips for event planners:
1. Focus On A Goal.
Multitasking isn’t easy. Not everyone can do it.
When you focus on too many things, life becomes stressful. Selecting no more than three things that require your attention is a smart move. When you get those done, you can always add more. But at least those three things will be off the table!
2. Develop Your Plan.
Now you know what you want to do. Next set the time frame you want it accomplished.
Write out the steps you must follow to get to the finish line. Think of this as your GPS. Set it to get you from start to destination using the most direct route possible. It will save you wasting time by heading down a wrong street.
3. Fine Tune The Directions.
Break your action plan down even further. Each step consists of a series of actions. Don’t skip this important planning phase. It helps you avoid missing important details. When you overlook something, the mistake costs both time and money to fix later. Plus it adds to your stress.
4. Follow The Plan.
It sounds simple, and it is when done correctly. Set aside some focused time. Turn off the phone, ignore the emails, avoid the distractions and concentrate on the action steps.
Work on your actions and move toward completing a step. For every action you finish, you are getting closer to your goal.
If something goes wrong, don’t panic. Not everything goes as planned. That is life. Step back, breathe and review what is wrong. Know you aren’t the first person to encounter this problem. Get a fresh perspective, change your GPS to avoid the roadblock and continue your journey.
5. Enjoy The Results.
A great event is the result of planning. The accolades from guests and bosses or clients are the rewards.
While there will always be someone who feels it could have been better, they are not the ones who took action. You did. So don’t allow the naysayers to dampen your achievement.
Although if they have a valid criticism, keep their comments in mind for your next event!
In Conclusion:
Successful event planners understand the importance of managing their time. A system that helps them use their time efficiently is important.
Successful event planners also understand the importance of building a team and delegating tasks. This helps them achieve superhuman results.

What if your company never hired an employee?
You wouldn’t be reading this for one thing. You wouldn’t have a job.
And you wouldn’t be planning a corporate event.
But they did hire employees. Why?
Because each employee is an investment in the company. If the investment pays off, the employee earns money for the business.
When you hire a corporate entertainer,
you are investing in the success of your event.
Just as your company reviews a person’s application and checks references before they hire. You should too. Luckily it is a lot easier to hire a corporate entertainer. Their videos and references are much easier to find.
The right corporate entertainment for your business function makes your event memorable. Your guests have more fun, become involved and will share an experience.
Don’t Eat Lousy Food!
If you taste tested your caterer and gagged at the offerings, the chance of you hiring them is unlikely. Guests would experience a similar reaction and question your abilities to plan the event.
If your guests were vegans and you served prime rib, you’ve ruined the meal. It isn’t the prime rib’s fault. People love prime rib. Unless they are vegans. It is simply the wrong selection for the event.
Don’t watch lousy corporate entertainment!
You can’t taste test your entertainment, but you can watch them work. Does their video make you laugh? Pay no attention to the laugh track – that is too easy to fake. Does the video make you laugh? If so, there is a good chance your guests will too.
(At least, if they are anything like you … )
Do you understand your guests’ entertainment tastes? Hiring a prime rib for a salad crowd results in wasted entertainment. And it isn’t the act’s fault. Unless they didn’t ask the right questions going in.
There are a ton of considerations for every corporate event. Entertainment is an important piece of the puzzle. You need to talk with your corporate entertainer before you hire them to make certain you are both on the same page.
As an event planner, it is important to surround yourself with people you can trust. Those who can examine the details, determine possibilities and offer solutions.
Let our office help you. Tom’s 30 plus years of event entertainment experience can shed light on your event’s needs. We understand what goes into creating a memorable event.

It’s that time of year again—
Time to find the entertainment for your corporate holiday party.
We are here to help with Holiday Party Entertainment Made Easy!
Trust me, I can feel that pit of dread in your stomach from here, and I don’t blame you for having it.
Bringing an entertainer in to your corporate party is kind of like letting a baboon loose at the zoo. You wonder,
“Is he going to run around happily and entertain everyone or is he going to do the wrong thing, say something in appropriate, steal someone’s peanuts and make this the last holiday party we get to have?”
When you hire a corporate entertainer, you shouldn’t have to think about any of those things.
Really, you shouldn’t.
After all, your entertainer is a business owner too.
He or she should understand that there are things you can do and say—and things you can’t.
Corporate comedians can provide the best bang for your entertainment buck, but because humor is so subjective, they can also bring up verboten topics that upset management or the staff and turn the party into a disaster. But if the business comedian is too careful, they won’t be funny. So what’s a party planner to do?
Hire an Experienced Comedian
Interviews help you weed out the inappropriate entertainers and can save you from a lot of headaches and employee complaints.
Interview them the same way you might a potential employee. Find out:
- how they read the audience,
- how they deal with unexpected issues,
- how many events they’ve had each year.
(in other words, are they being asked back or having trouble getting repeat business?),
- what their planning and researching process is, etc.
The more professional and prepared the comedian is, the better choice he or she is for your event.
Consider a Ventriloquist
Stand-up comedy routines can often come across as aggressive when the comedian tries to be edgy, or confrontational when he or she is simply trying to engage the audience.
But do you know what isn’t considered aggressive or confrontational in corporate comedy?
A puppet.
Or a ventriloquist mask placed on a couple of your employees.
The art of ventriloquism gives a comedian the opportunity to walk that fine line between edgy and inappropriate to get the most laughs from your workplace crowd. They offer a multidimensional experience that allows everyone to be in on the joke, no matter their point of view or sense of humor.

Before you hand out a gift bag … STOP!
Not everyone loves free stuff …
How many logo cup koozies do they need? And is it spelled cozy or koozie. Maybe we should Google that.
People love stuff, but pens that go in a drawer or junk that gets thrown away is a waste of your company’s money.
You need to give them something they will love.
Make your company event even better with great gifts for your guests.
Gifts are appropriate at any corporate entertainment event, from holiday parties for employees to special events for clients.
We’ve assembled 10 Really Cool
Corporate Event Gift Ideas
that everyone will use & appreciate:
There’s no need to use a company refrigerator for drinks when everyone has a USB Fridge on their desk. Keep a two can/one bottle beverage cooler plugged into the computer, and there will always be a chilled drink at hand. Warms drinks, too, with the flip of a switch.
More coffee drinkers than soda drinkers on the guest list? Plug in a USB Drink Warmer to heat a cup or mug of joe, then use the 4 port USB hub to power devices. Tells time, too.
Turn a mouse pad into a multi function device with a USB Mouse Pad Calculator. This plastic, lightweight, portable mouse pad contains a 4 port USB hub as well as a calculator. It provides functionality in what is usually wasted space.
A private document can be shredded immediately with a USB Mini Paper Shredder. Easy to place on a desk and easy to use, it can also operate with batteries. Read a note or document, flip a switch, shred it. No more piles of papers waiting to be taken to the office shredder. Opens letters, too.
It’s easier to keep a desk neat with a Multifunction Desktop Organizer. It fits into another area that’s usually wasted space, between the computer keyboard and monitor. The organizer includes a built-in USB hub and memory card reader. It holds a coffee cup, pens, and phone, and there are slots and storage space for photos, memo notepads, and business cards.
Attach a Portable Cabinet Mount to a desk with an Easy Latch System and make a great “home” for any smart device. It’s convenient to use, and it frees up desk space. It has a 180° rotation for multiple viewing angles.
Reduce paper recycling with the Boogie Board LCD writing tablet. The tablet can be used to take notes at a meeting, write a to do list, jot down thoughts during a phone conversation, and an endless number of other tasks. Press a button to clear the screen and start another project.
Turn any flat surface into a keyboard with a Laser Projection Virtual Keyboard. The pocket sized device projects a full size keyboard. Allows data input anywhere at any time with easily visible laser projection.
For gift card giving with a little extra flair, put a card of your choice in a 4 inch Mini Briefcase
along with a Customized USB. The briefcase is designed to hold credit cards and business cards, and it can also be used to keep change handy. The Customized USB is a business card sized flash drive that can display the company logo, and it can be preloaded with company information, if desired.
Complement your corporate event with one of these really cool gifts. It’s a great way to show appreciation to employees, clients, and other guests.
